Directions to Cresheim Cottage
The Cottage is located at 7402 Germantown Avenue in the beautiful and historic Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia
(Please park on Germantown Avenue or in the Brewer’s Outlet parking lot across the street. There is no parking in the Brewer's Outlet parking lot before 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays.)
Driving Directions
From the PA Turnpike:
Take PA turnpike to Ft. Washington exit. Take Rt. 309 South “ Philadelphia” to Mt. Airy exit. Merge onto Easton Road--which turns into Wadsworth Avenue (as you cross Cheltenham Ave.) and then changes names again (as you cross Stenton Avenue) and becomes Mt. Airy Avenue. Take this until it dead ends at a “T” intersection and make a right onto Germantown Avenue. Cresheim Cottage is two blocks up on your left, 7402 Germantown Avenue.
From Allentown, or other places north:
Take the North East Extension of the PA Turnpike (Interstate 476) south toward Philadelphia. Get on the East/West PA Turnpike (Route 76) westbound toward Norristown/Harrisburg. Keep right. Go only 1.5 miles and exit Norristown. As soon as you pay your toll there is a sign "Germantown Pike" (to the right) follow that (to the right) for about 5.5 miles. You will pass under a railroad bridge. About a half mile ahead at the light on the right is Cresheim Cottage.
From Route 95:
Route 95 to 76 West “ Valley Forge.” Follow 76 W to Lincoln Drive—exit 340A. Take Lincoln Dr. to the end (4 miles), make a right onto Allens Lane. Take to end (4 blocks), make a left onto Germantown Avenue. Go one block—The Cottage will be on your left, 7402 Germantown Avenue.
From 476 (Blue Route):
Take Blue Route North to “ Plymouth Meeting—Germantown Pike East” exit. Off ramp, go straight to first light and make a right onto Germantown Pike. Follow for approximately 4 miles (road changes into Germantown Avenue). We will be on the right-hand side at the corner of Germantown and Gowen Avenues, 7402 Germantown Ave.
From Southern New Jersey and Center City :
Cross any bridge into Philadelphia and follow signs for 676W— Center City. Take to 76W. Follow 76W to exit 340A— Lincoln Drive. Take middle lane off of exit and take Lincoln Drive until it ends (4 miles). Make a Right onto Allens lane. Take to end (4 blocks). Make a left onto Germantown Avenue. Go one block—The Cottage will be on your left, 7402 Germantown Avenue.
Public Transportation
R-7 Train to the Mt. Airy station. Walk two blocks down Gowen Ave. to Germantown Avenue. The Cottage is at the corner of Gowen and Germantown.
R-8 Train to the Allens Lane station. Walk two blocks up Allens Lane to Germantown Avenue. Make a left onto Germantown Avenue and walk one block. The Cottage is at the corner of Germantown and Gowen Avenues.
Route 23 bus to the corner of Germantown and Gowen Avenues.
Parking
Please park for free on Germantown Avenue or in the Brewer’s Outlet parking lot across the street (after 6 p.m. only on Fri & Sat).
